ARCA Consumer Council
The ARCA board of Directors established the ARCA Consumer Council in 1994 as a formal body for people receiving services to provide input and feedback on agency policies and the delivery of services, and to self-advocate for issues and concerns impacting their lives. Over the years the Consumer Council has successfully advocated for the adoption of a formal ARCA pet policy and for improved city funded public transportation and upgrades to pedestrian crossings close to ARCA housing and offices. The council hosts several highly successful social events including the annual Spring Flight and Fall Fiesta, talent shows and collaborated with various agencty departments to co-sponsor an employee health fair.
Housing Support (Maintenance and Grounds)
Provide home and yard maintenance that may include painting, yard work, yard clean up, or gardening needs. This could be at one of our offices or at one of our many homes in the Albuquerque area. Come and help spruce up one of our homes with some flowers or other plants!
Office Support
Provide clerical support as needed at either the Main office at 11300 Lomas Blvd., or our satellite location at 1515 4th Street NW.
Internships
Provide internship to A RC A in related area. There are opportunities for individuals to intern in several of our departments.

If any of these opportunities interest you, come by our office and fill out a volunteer application or if you need more information call Faylene Wytewa-Alire at (505) 332-6816. Groups from businesses wanting to volunteer need to contact Faylene directly.
Volunteers must be supervised by ARCA staff when working with individuals receiving services, whether on or off of ARCA property. All volunteers must go through a screening process prior to being assigned.
