Assisted
Living
Our Mission
In Assisted Living we strive to support individuals with developmental disabilities to realize their potential and achieve their dreams of self-sufficiency and inclusion in the community.
Individuals receiving Assisted Living services use their unique skills and talents, along with support from staff, to realize their potential as active participants in the community.
Our Services
In Assisted Living individuals live in apartments or houses in the Albuquerque area. Most individuals receive approximately 5 – 25 hours of staff support per week. Over 60 individuals ranging in age from 20 –70 receive support services such as assistance with cooking, cleaning, transportation, medical appointments and leisure activities. They also receive support with the management of money and various benefits.

Other Supports
In addition to servicing individuals who live in their own homes in local community neighborhoods, Assisted Living offers two other unique models of support:
- The ARCA owned Sandia View apartment complex provides housing to 22 individuals. Sandia View is unique in that there is a staff person who lives on site and there is a staffed office during business hours. Individuals enjoy amenities such as a therapeutic swimming pool and a community room, with various group activities offered on a regular basis.
- Another ARCA owned home accommodates 3 individuals who are transitioning to or from a higher level of support and need added staff support during that transition period. These individuals receive approximately 100 – 200 hours of service per month.
Our Staff
Assisted Living staff enjoy flexible work schedules, a variety of leisure activities with individuals, and an opportunity to use their creativity to help individuals realize their dreams.
